3:30pm and 7pm Paul's Letter to the Philippians

3:30pm and 7pm Paul's Letter to the Philippians

The Apostle Paul is credited with writing 13 of the books contained in the New Testament.

Most of them focus on a theological issue that seems to be misunderstood by members of the letter’s intended audience, then follow with practical application and advice about how to live as members of the body of Christ in that congregation’s context.

The letter to the Philippians is different.  Paul does not address a particular problematic theological issue, although he does mix practical advice about living a Christian life with important theological insights.

Oddly enough, Paul expresses joy—yes joy—despite the fact that he is writing the letter while in prison.

Pastor Jay will lead this 6-week series, examining several passages from Philippians, seeing what we can learn about Paul, and more importantly about life in Christian community, seeking to follow Jesus together. And we will consider how we can experience the joy that Paul expressed in this letter.

Meet on Wednesdays at 3:30pm or 7 pm 7pm. Please join us to learn more about Paul and about the joy of following Jesus.
