Hope Is Born This Night

Hope Is Born This Night

Our theme for Advent and Christmas is Hope was Born This Night. Often, people who are hurting feel like church isn't for them.  Yet on the first Christmas, those who were frightened and in desperate need of good news and great joy were addressed directly. The hope we give away on Christmas is sure to outlast the cookies and the lights on the tree. In fact, it is a hope that lives all year round!

Reformation - The Five Solas

Reformation - The Five Solas

The Latin word sola means "alone" or "only" in English. The Five Solas articulated five fundamental beliefs of the Protestant Reformation, pillars which the Reformers believed to be essentials of the Christian life and practice, and the way that we come to understand our true identity as a child of God. So, in a nutshell, what the Reformation opened up for us was this beautiful new understanding of how we come into a loving relationship with God. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in the scripture alone, to the glory of God alone.

Get Wise

Get Wise

One of the most important skills we can develop in life is that of making a good decisions. How we make decisions impacts pretty much every area and every relationship that we have. To make good decisions, we need to start with good information. Information alone is never enough, we must understand what to do with the information we get. So, where can I get the wisdom I need to make better decisions and how can I apply this in my everyday life? Come explore the answers to those questions with us as we begin a new series based on the book of Proverbs, Get Wise. Together, we will look at the difference between wisdom and knowledge, how to make wise decisions, how to control our tongue, the impact of our anger, and earning respect.
