The Confirmation 24-Hour Serving Event, Serve S’More was a huge success! We had just under 40 students and five leaders here on Friday ready to have fun, worship, hear from an amazing speaker, and spend the night in the Youth Center. On Saturday, they went to the Caring Hands Food Pantry in at First Lutheran Church in Fullerton, where they bagged and sorted 300 pounds of rice and beans along with sorting cans and other food for the pantry and the hungry people who are served each day. After lunch, the kids came back and put together 35 single serving freezer meals, complete with instructions, for people in our church family who aren’t able to cook full meals or for people to bring to people they are visiting. We ended the weekend with a family dinner where we had about 100 people come together to celebrate our students and all that they did for our community and church family!
